\u00e0 but non lucratif qui se concentre sur le d\u00e9veloppement pr\u00e9coce du langage et de l'alphab\u00e9tisation au cours des huit premi\u00e8res ann\u00e9es de la vie d'un enfant. Depuis 2005, nous travaillons dans des communaut\u00e9s d\u00e9favoris\u00e9es avec les adultes les mieux plac\u00e9s pour influencer le d\u00e9veloppement des jeunes enfants - parents et soignants, membres de la famille et de la communaut\u00e9, visiteurs \u00e0 domicile, praticiens du d\u00e9veloppement de la petite enfance et enseignants de la classe R \u00e0 la classe 3.<\/p><p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.wordworks.org.za\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">https:\/\/www.wordworks.org.za\/<\/a>\u00a0\u00a0 <a href=\"https:\/\/youtu.be\/zaIivgtcguM\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">\u00c0 propos de Wordworks video<\/a><\/p><h4><strong>Activit\u00e9s principales<\/strong><\/h4><p>Wordworks plaide en faveur du d\u00e9veloppement pr\u00e9coce du langage et de l'alphab\u00e9tisation au cours des neuf premi\u00e8res ann\u00e9es de la vie d'un enfant, \u00e0 la maison, dans les centres de d\u00e9veloppement de la petite enfance et \u00e0 l'\u00e9cole. Nous d\u00e9veloppons des programmes et des ressources multilingues, proposons des formations de formateurs et soutenons la mise en \u0153uvre avec des partenaires. Notre travail renforce les capacit\u00e9s des parents, des soignants, des praticiens du d\u00e9veloppement de la petite enfance, des tuteurs, des animateurs d'activit\u00e9s p\u00e9riscolaires et des enseignants. Nous soutenons les programmes par la formation, le mentorat et le soutien au suivi et \u00e0 l'\u00e9valuation. Nous partageons \u00e9galement des documents fond\u00e9s sur des donn\u00e9es probantes par le biais de publications, d'\u00e9v\u00e9nements et de plateformes en libre acc\u00e8s.<\/p><h4><strong>Impact r\u00e9cent<\/strong><\/h4><p>Notre programme STELLAR a \u00e9t\u00e9 mis en \u0153uvre \u00e0 l'\u00e9chelle de la province du Cap-Occidental (touchant 44 220 enfants gr\u00e2ce aux 300 enseignants form\u00e9s en 2016) ainsi que dans le Gauteng (touchant plus de 4 500 enseignants et environ 88 440 enfants par an). Le programme STELLAR pour les besoins sp\u00e9ciaux \u00e0 Gauteng a touch\u00e9 11 140 enfants gr\u00e2ce \u00e0 103 enseignants form\u00e9s en 2014. En 2024, Wordworks a fourni une formation et un soutien aux programmes d'alphab\u00e9tisation pr\u00e9coce \u00e0 3 141 praticiens, touchant 45 067 enfants.<\/p><h4><strong>Une vision pour l'avenir<\/strong><\/h4><p>Nous avons r\u00e9cemment finalis\u00e9 notre plan strat\u00e9gique 2024-2030. Nous avons identifi\u00e9 trois objectifs pour la p\u00e9riode strat\u00e9gique :<\/p><ol><li><strong>Objectif 1<\/strong> - Am\u00e9liorer le d\u00e9veloppement pr\u00e9coce du langage et de l'alphab\u00e9tisation gr\u00e2ce \u00e0 la conception, \u00e0 la formation et au financement de programmes d'apprentissage en classe, au sein de la communaut\u00e9 et \u00e0 domicile.<\/li><li><strong>Objectif 2<\/strong> - accro\u00eetre la sensibilisation, l'adoption et le soutien des programmes d'apprentissage pr\u00e9coce de la langue et de l'alphab\u00e9tisation par le partage des connaissances, le plaidoyer et la collaboration.<\/li><li><strong>Objectif 3 <\/strong>- Accro\u00eetre le financement, la capacit\u00e9, la responsabilit\u00e9 et l'efficacit\u00e9 des organisations.<\/li><\/ol><p>Ces objectifs sont soutenus par des choix strat\u00e9giques cl\u00e9s d'alignement des programmes, d'exploitation des programmes et d'expansion des programmes, afin de nous permettre d'atteindre avec succ\u00e8s nos objectifs strat\u00e9giques pour 2030. Our work builds the capacity of parents, caregivers, ECD practitioners,tutors, afterschool facilitators and teachers. We sustain programmes through training, mentoring, and providing support for monitoring and evaluation. We also share evidence-informed materials through publications, events, and open-access platforms. Recent Impact Our STELLAR Programme has been implemented province-wide in Western Cape (reaching 44,220 children through the 300 teachers trained in 2016) as well as Gauteng (reaching over 4,500 teachers and an estimated 88,440 children annually). The Special Needs STELLAR programme in Gauteng reached 11,140 children through 103 trained teachers in 2014. In 2024,\u00a0 Wordworks provided early literacy programme training and support to 3,141 practitioners, reaching 45,067 children. Vision for the Future We have recently finalised our 2024-2030 strategic plan. We have identified three goals for the strategy period: Goal 1 &#8211; Improve early language and literacy development through classroom community and home learning programme design, training, and resourcing. Goal 2 &#8211; increase awareness, uptake and support of early language and literacy programmes through knowledge sharing advocacy and collaboration. Goal 3 &#8211; Grow organisational funding, capacity, accountability and efficiencies. These goals are supported by key strategic choices of programme alignment, leveraging of programmes, and expansion of programmes, in order to set us up for success in achieving our 2030 strategic goals. We monitor, and report to stakeholders on our business plans annually.
