Learning Masterminds is an NGO consisting of seven experts with diverse skills focused on education development including foundational learning, and positive youth development. The experts were the senior leadership team of the USAID Partnership for Education Learning project that trained over 68,000 teachers and improved reading for over 750,000 children in over 7,200 schools, distributing 15 million reading materials including braille nationwide.
Key Activities
Project management including implementing and research, stakeholder engagement, project start up and close out, teaching and learning including foundational literacy and numeracy using structured pedagogy, improving pupils’ learning, monitoring, evaluation, and learning including development of digital tools and dashboards, and event planning and production including launches, high-level committee meetings and stakeholders’ site visit support.
Recent Impact
Conducted two USAID-funded surveys in northern Ghana for the SAGES Systems Strengthening Activity, on textbook production and supply chain mechanisms and public satisfaction which revealed bottlenecks in Ghana’s education systems and opportunities for improvement. Also implementing the INSPIRE youth project equipping over 90 students with relevant knowledge, social and life skills to help keep them in school and prepare them for future leadership/decision-making roles.
