ARED is dedicated to promoting quality education in African languages through training, publishing, educational innovation, and action research. The organization targets preschoolers, primary school children, teachers, and community leaders to enhance foundational literacy and numeracy outcomes.

Key Activities

• Development of accelerated remediation programs like Ndaw Wune (Success for All) to address school dropout and learning loss caused by the COVID-19 pandemic.
• Collaborating with the Ministry of Education to scale bilingual education through the Harmonized Model of Bilingual Education in Senegal (MOHEBS).
• Publishing over 500 educational books and conducting training programs for more than 25,000 individuals.

Recent Impact

• Partnering with USAID on Lecture Pour Tous and RELIS programs to improve literacy in Senegalese schools.
• Providing 235,000 Senegalese primary school children with books in local languages and French under the Reading Nation Campaign.
