Rays of Hope is focused on equipping teachers and students with the skills needed to excel in foundational literacy and numeracy.

Key Activities

• Training Grades 1 to 4 teachers in literacy and numeracy.
• Conducting remediation programs for Grades 5 to 8 through afterschool tutoring.
• Piloting the Teaching at the Right Level (TaRL) program in Blantyre Rural district.

Recent Impact

• Consistently achieved a 90% pass rate for students participating in afterschool programs.
• Improved district-level educational performance, elevating Blantyre Rural from last place to 27th nationally.
