Zizi Afrique Foundation focuses on advancing foundational literacy, numeracy, and life skills among out-of-school youth and primary school students.
Key Activities
- Developing and implementing the Accelerated Learning Program (ALP), a short-term intervention targeting children in Grades 3–5.
- Developing frameworks for improving FL.
- Training/skilling target audiences (e.g., partners, parents, teachers) on strategies to adopt and adapt to enhance FL outcomes.
- Innovating solutions and scaling them through partnerships (with Government and CSOs).
- Promoting life skills through programs like Skill Up! to equip youth with practical competencies for the job market.
- Conducting research and advocacy to influence education policy for FL.
Recent Impact
- Reached over 20,000 children with ALP programs in four counties in Kenya.
- Achieved a 40% improvement in literacy and numeracy outcomes in participating schools.
- Some 21,728 learners (13,009 females, 8,719 males) were reached in 2024.
- 5,792 parents (4,375 females, 1,605 males) were reached in 2024.
- Some 1,491 government officials (877 females, 614 females) were reached with insights and/or evidence for uptake to inform FL.
